About

Gordon's Gardens

Gordon's Gardens is a Kokomo, Indiana native plant grower specializing in permaculture garden design and landscaping. Owners James & Tiolas work together to design natural urban garden spaces using their home-grown plant stock and locally sourced materials.

Our basic principles are:

1) Cover and Build Soil Life

We source used cardboard and wood chips from local sustainable forestry to cover the soil and to separate your new garden from your old. By building up soil life, we increase your growing potential and create an environment for insects, microbes, pollinators. Pathways can also be designed in this way or troublesome corners can be maximized!

2) Plant Food for Everyone!

We incorporate plants from our nursery or other trusted local nurseries.

Every installation comes with a complimentary 10-Day Check-In / Walk Through.

This planet is full of plants that are beneficial to both people and to the rest of nature. The key is to pay attention to the land and choose the plants which will bring the most benefit. Permaculture Agroforestry, which takes direction directly from methods used in the Amazon Rainforest, can create abundant Eden-like areas in our own neighborhoods. Permaculture is a Design Science that guides gardeners toward attaining 3 modes - Earth Care, People Care, and Return of Surplus.
